Under construction, a 500 square meter villa on a 5 hectare plot, we designed and built with the Sabrab team.

This single storey house is the result of a sum of volumes with different heights.

Oriented at different angles, leaving exterior semi-open passages between the various elements of the set.

The te project, traditional local style, Comporta Style, in a tenuous combination between regional heritage and a contemporary approach, with the use of really ecological lime, achieved with traditional additives.

The left core is made up of the bedrooms. The central living, dining and kitchen areas are continuous and the feeling of being outdoors is enhanced by large glazed areas. In the right wing, four suites are designed which, in a game of full and empty spaces, patios and volumes, separate each individual space.

Outside, with a strong sense of place in mind, the natural landscape and the white sand dunes surround the constructed complex, which marked the location of the house, we are based in Architect Comporta .

We designed this house in a different context, in full quarantine due to COVID. We are inspired by the simplicity of the shapes, complemented by a bronze ladder with the shape of DNA.

This house was designed for a land in cascais. It has an area of 440 square meters, with a large living room, with an open space kitchen and 5 bedrooms.

One of the symbols of the house is the swimming pool that surrounds the entire finished elevation of the living room and bedrooms on the lower floor. It is extended to the interior of the room, being part of the glass floor.

The aim is to provide a sense of spaciousness in any room of the house, from the entrance to the living room and kitchen, working in a single set, with the staircase surrounding the entire space.

The roof is landscaped, with rainwater collection, to feed the water mirror that surrounds the entire rear elevation. The back facade has built in microperforated panels, where the access door to the pool is hidden.

The pool is heated by geothermal, to make use of energy.

The skylight glass has an automatic cleaning system, as well as that of the pool using the clearglass system.

Used as Dinesen wood materials, Porcelanosa toilets. As an Architect Portugal, we try to use always Portuguese materials.

The furniture was designed by our team, in order to be a unique space.

Architectural project for a 600 square meter villa, on a 3000 square meter plot.

The main objective was to create a large house, with a dark characteristic made of cut sheet metal, using a Grid that produces a dark characteristic.

Made with sustainable plaster, based on lime and cork, it guarantees thermal efficiency and interior air purification.

A swimming pool, made in Lamego widow tile, marks the exterior space, where a dining area, gym and a basketball court were placed.

The interior floor is in solid oak wood, with radiant flooring made of metal plate.

We developed a house of moderate lines, inserted in a Subdivision in Cascais, 10km from the village of Comporta.

Inserted in a plot of 600 square meters, with a construction area of 300 square meters, it is divided into two floors and an indoor swimming pool that surrounds the house.

The facades are developed through a ventilated facade, covered with bush-hammered marble stone.

The entrance body is marked by a golden brass structure, which connects to a shale-coated structure.

The interior is based on broad and spacious lines.

Architecture and Engineering studio with more than 10 years of activity in Portugal, German Design Award Special 2019 and A’Design Award Winner 2019.

we developed this project in a place embraced by the rio douro and rio tudo, where the “sight to lose sight” of the river was the basis of the project. Built in concrete, including the roof, we managed to make the house as light as possible, integrated with the entire surroundings. It consists of two modules, the main with three en-suite bedrooms, a kitchen and a 100 square meter living room in order to promote coexistence between the whole family. Located on Avenida Principal in Lisbon, Avenida da Liberdade, in the emblematic Edificio Forum Tivoli, a clinic is located on the 6th floor, where the objective was to create a reference space in terms of design and materials used.

The layout of the Clinic’s interior spaces started with the maximum use of natural light for the work areas, thus reducing the environmental footprint of the building.

The clinic presents a set of dental specialties, separated by specific wings, in a total of ten offices.

With regard to the materiality of the space, the concept included the placement of glass panels that allow natural light to pass through almost the entire area of these wings of the Clinic.

A visual balance was intended with regard to materials and colors, which is why white and gray mark the entire space.

It was decided to have only two flooring solutions, in the clinical areas gray vinyl that characterizes the image of the Clinic in recent years and a white floor with marble in shades of gray in the remaining areas.

In the corridors, all lighting is done with vertical LED lines on the walls, which gives these corridors a different scale from the rest of the clinic and the waiting rooms are punctuated in the concrete ceilings with suspended lighting, with emphasis on the Alphabet lamp by Artemide.

The project is developed in a building with three floors with about 1250m2 of construction area and basement parking.

The framing for the Sintra mountains was one of the assumptions in the layout distribution, allowing the waiting areas to also become spaces for visual contemplation.

The layout of the Clinic’s interior spaces started with the maximum use of natural light for the work areas, thus reducing the building’s environmental footprint.

The clinic has a set of dental specialties, separated by specific wings, in a total of eighteen offices, including a recovery room with a particular framework for the Sintra mountains in a reserved area of the space on the 1st floor of the building.

The building has a central area that allows the separation into different wings either on floor 0 or on floor 1.

Thus, in the left wing of floor 0, the reception, service and waiting areas, patient managers offices, as well as support toilets are concentrated.

The right wing of floor 0 was reserved for the children’s waiting room with access to the outdoor garden, pediatric dentistry and emergency room with a total of six offices, four of which have glass interior facades allowing natural light to provide interior areas. of space with the same spatial quality as others that are in direct contact with the outside.

On the 1st floor two more wings, the left wing being used for surgical specialties of greater complexity with five offices and the right wing with seven more offices.

In the connection of the two wings, centrally in space and overlooking the Sintra mountains, the main waiting room of the Clinic and restrooms.

In addition to the eighteen offices, the Clinic is also equipped with a prosthetic laboratory to support the activity and a training room occupying the entire 2nd floor of the building, also enjoying a wide view of the mountains.

With regard to the materiality of the space, the concept included the placement of glass panels in specific areas of the space, namely service areas and the Pediatric Dentistry area, which allow natural light to pass through almost the entire area of these wings of the Clinic.

The aim was to achieve a visual balance with regard to materials and colors, which is why white and gray mark the entire space. We opted for the existence of only two flooring solutions, in the clinical areas, a gray vinyl that has characterized the Clinic’s image in recent years, and a white floor with marbled in shades of gray in the other areas.

On the ceilings, in addition to the white areas that fill the space, there are others with exposed concrete painted in gray in the three clinical corridors and in the waiting rooms.

In the corridors, all lighting is carried out with vertical LED lines on the walls, which gives these corridors a different scale from the rest of the clinic and the waiting rooms dotted on the concrete ceilings with suspended lighting.

This project had a special nature, due to being the 200th health project that sabrab has carried out over its 15 years of existence.

This project had an objective, the use of sustainable, biodegradable materials, the use of lighting equipment with A + certification, in order to optimize a sustainable architecture.

On the walls we use bamboo instead of plasterboard, the floor consists of a compound that comes from the reuse of plastic and tires.
A CO2 emission counter was installed, interconnected with an application, which will indicate the trees that will be planted in solidarity and interaction with patients.

Clinica Medis Lisboa, architectural, interior design and engineering project for the new Médis Clinic in Amoreiras.

Dental clinic and a wide area of offices that develop on just one floor with the origin of your project as the existence of a skylight that floods the central area of the waiting room with natural light and around which all the compartments have developed. The entrance to the clinic and offices is made through the main access of the building, with a separate path for each of the spaces, clinic and offices. The area defined as a clinic includes a waiting and service room located on the main front of the building and in the central area of the skylight, meeting room, two public sanitation facilities, one of which is adapted for people with reduced mobility, three administrative offices, nine offices dental, sterilization room, orthopantomography room, waste room, two changing rooms and sanitary service facilities, in addition to a set of other spaces to support the activity.

The main front of the Clinic, whose facade is made of glass, immediately defined the interior materiality of some areas, namely the separation of dental offices / circulation, which was also made of transparent glass so that the interior could receive natural light, thus reducing the impact in the use of artificial light, namely in the waiting room, administrative offices and dental offices.

The office space resulted mostly in a large area complemented by two meeting rooms and three offices whose separation is made with glass. It was intended in this area to give a different character to the clinical area, with the use of a more technical image where electricity and air conditioning infrastructures were assumed as an integral part of the architectural solution. In this space, color notes were also considered to differentiate work areas.

The pool is heated using geothermal energy, so that it can be used for energy.

The skylight’s glass has an automatic cleaning system, as well as the pool’s using the clearglass system.

This projecto of interior design of three bedroom apartment located on Avenida dos Aliados, in the most emblematic and luxurious building in Porto. It has 3 suites, living room, kitchen, and shared bathroom.

Aliados is the main square in Porto. Decoration project by Sabrab, with the aim of making the apartment with unique characteristics of comfort and design.

Unique design of pieces of furniture, with a table of 10 people in solid wood, in a living and dining room, was one of our focus in this interior design.

Hand-worked crown moldings and plaster staves were created.

Lisbon House Architecture Project – Engineering construction in lisbon # cascais # interior design # architect in algarve

House located in the Restelo neighborhood in Lisbon. There was a part of the house that was rehabilitated, having been designed an attached body, with a more contemporary design in order to make the volume fit and creating privacy for the pool.

The structure was made of reinforced concrete with large spans of 8x10m, using fungiform slabs.

Tiger skin marbles were used in the sanitary facilities.

Dinesen wood was used in the covering of living areas and bedrooms.

The Arquitectura Moradia Lisboa project, despite looking for the surrounding references, has an admittedly contemporary character. At the functional level, it is a single-family house T4 distributed over three floors, whose organization of the space was adapted to the existing span system, subverting only the location of the main access to the building. On the ground floor we find the two bedrooms and a small toilet, on the upper floor there is a social area comprising the living room / kitchen and a social toilet. This intention of placing the social area on the highest floor, contrary to what happens in traditional typologies, takes advantage of the volume provided by the roof, which in this way decompresses the space, while giving it a certain dynamism. This change in the distribution of common spaces simultaneously allows for a visual expansion in the relationships that the interior establishes with the exterior, creating more elongated perspectives and enhancing unexpected light inputs.

Forte da Graça in Elvas is considered one of the most powerful fortified fortresses in the world, was inaugurated by the President of Portugal and the it´s most original for its design and implementation, the Forte da Graça, also known as Forte Conde de Lippe, is located on the hill with the same name, the highest in the region, about 1km north of the city of Elvas. The projects were prepared by Eng. Miguel Barbas.
This masterpiece of European military architecture was built by King D. José I, and construction began in 1763, being inaugurated in 1792, already in the reign of D. Maria I, and having contributed to its construction, more of 6000 men and 4000 animals.
A number of rehabilitation interventions have been carried out at Forte over the years, the most recent having been carried out for about 10 years. However, nowadays the Fort is devoluto and partially in ruins, being at the moment Sabrab to develop the project described below to return it to its inhabitants as Multicultural Space.
Inaugurated by Exmo. President of the Republic, Anibal Cavaco Silva, who mentioned in his opening address the project stakeholders, of which I transcribe a few words:
“After just over two years, my satisfaction is doubled. In fact, the conservation and restoration intervention, which took place at Forte da Graça, not only restored the building to its imposing and monumental character, but also fully respected the deadline and budgets foreseen.
I greet, therefore, all the involved entities teaches enterprise to several exemplary titles. We are faced with a case of determination and rigor, which is worthy of particular recognition and an initiative that will certainly contribute to the requalification and reanimation of the city of Elvas and this region of Alentejo. “

This property located in Vila Nova de Gaia was the object of intervention by our team.

The great transformation as in all our projects is to introduce natural light inside the house

Part of the roof was removed so as to enter the maximum of lux in the Room and Room, being able to create a wide space full of light and, at the same time, enhance the daily living.

We use false ceilings and noble woods. A suspended staircase has been created to access the rooms.

The white, materialized in the different elements, appears as a link of connection and continuity throughout the work.

We designed this house in a different context, in full quarantine due to COVID. We are inspired by the simplicity of the shapes, complemented by a bronze ladder with the shape of DNA.

This house was designed for a land in cascais. It has an area of 440 square meters, with a large living room, with an open space kitchen and 5 bedrooms.

The aim is to provide a sense of spaciousness in any room of the house, from the entrance to the living room and kitchen, working in a single set, with the staircase surrounding the entire space.

The pool is heated by geothermal, to make use of energy.

The skylight glass has an automatic cleaning system, as well as that of the pool using the clearglass system.

Used as Dinesen wood materials, Porcelanosa toilets.

This project refers to Sabrab Office, Architect Lisbon.

Letting natural light enter in the space was the concept for the development of this space.

The space was originally segmented with several work areas and where natural light was none and very dark rooms. The basic idea for the creation was immediately liberated from the whole area, transforming it into an open space.

It was intended that almost the whole area of the project was an integral part of a single space leading to the option for segmentation to be made through the placement of glass panels. In addition to allowing the creation of more reserved work spaces, natural light, which only enters through two windows on the main facade of the building, fills almost the entire office in a homogeneous way, with view for one most beatifull avenues of Lisbon.

In an area of 108 m2, it was intended to create several areas that could meet the needs of the company, two offices, meeting room and open space with a common collective work area and a technical and Printing.

Being a company based on creativity and the development of new ideas, based on an exchange of knowledge of its employees and still looking for new solutions, it was thought a play area that could provide a relaxed environment in which it was implemented a snooker table and ping pong. This table also allows the possibility of turning into a work table of a larger size.

In order to break the square and regular shape of the office floor plan, uneven geometric shapes defining the meeting room and the two work rooms appear in the design, namely in the creation of enclosed enclosures.

The concept created by these forms defines apart from the compartmentalization of the space the solutions for the application of floor coverings and also the solution for the design of suspended ceilings.

The simplicity of the design with the application of only one vertical interior element, the glass, also led to ideas of simple concept for the application of floor coverings and ceilings.

A distinction was made in the design of floor coverings between enclosed work areas, work rooms and meeting rooms, and the open space area.

In the enclosed zones, a marble with irregular gray-tone stains was applied, from Estremoz marble quarry in the Alentejo region of Portugal, and to the rest of the office a continuous floor in Microconcrete with gray color.

In the project, it was intended to maintain memories of the building’s own building elements at the level of the ceilings, so that part of the area was chosen, namely in the open space area only by painting the gray concrete slab, reserving for closed areas and around them the definition of suspended ceilings with geometric shapes painted white that accompany the implantation of the spaces. In the enclosed compartments the ceilings are released from the limits as if suspended platforms were.

This project refers to office construction of Sabrab’s Office of Architecture and Engineering.

It was also intended that the project at the level of the colors adopted also had a simple and coherent language, which is why white and gray were chosen, thus allowing natural light to penetrate the space without any limiting element.

A distinction was made in the design of floor coverings between enclosed work areas, work rooms and meeting rooms, and the open space area.

The Clínica Dentária Santa Madalena was born in 1994, with only one office, on a first floor in the center of Lisbon. Since then, we have invested continuously until we reach the current 14 clinics, 100 dental offices and 600 collaborators, organized in multidisciplinary teams that provide services in the following areas: Oral Surgery, General Dentistry, Endodontics, Dental Aesthetics, Oral Hygiene, Implantology, Oral Medicine , Occlusion, Pediatric Dentistry, Orthodontics, Periodontology, Fixed Prosthesis and Removable Prosthesis.
